TiE Women Global Pitch Competition 2024 Chapter Finals

TiE Chandigarh hosted the TiE Women Global Pitch Competition 2024 Chapter Finals at ISB Mohali, presenting business ventures by Women Entrepreneurs.
Ms. Sonam Sodha, Co-Founder of Himalayan Hemp Industries Pvt. Ltd., won first place, with Ms. Prapti Bhasin, COO of Aavishkaar securing first runner-up, and Ms. Siya Sindhani, Co-Founder of Visar taking second runner-up position.

The event was evaluated by Jury members viz. Mr. Iqbal Singh (Innovative Financial Management), Ms. Manjula Sularia (Prasanchetas Foundation), Mr. Deepak Jindal (Deepak Jindal & Co.), Ms. Priyanka Barot (Lead Angels), and Mr. Naman Singhal (CEO-AIC, ISB Mohali).

It was an honor to have Ms. Hargunjit Kaur (IAS) as the Honourable Chief Guest. We are grateful to Chandigarh Administration for their invaluable support and contribution to make this event a grand success.

Alternative Investments for a Diversified Portfolio Building Resilience in Uncertain Times

TiE Chandigarh, in collaboration with Mastertrust and Client Associates, hosted a session on "Alternative Investments for a Diversified Portfolio." The expert panel, featured Mr. Gurmeet Chawla (Master Portfolio Services Limited), Mr. Shivam Diwan (Client Associates Alternate Fund), and moderated by Mr. Ganesh Jha (Finofii); discussed strategies for portfolio diversification during market volatility.

The session highlighted the importance of alternative investments like private equity, real estate, and hedge funds in achieving portfolio stability and long-term wealth preservation.

Building Structure & Business Model Revamp

TiE Women 2024 began its ‘Year of Empowerment and Innovation’ series and launched its first session with a Business Model Masterclass by Dr. Karminder Ghuman, Chief Coordinator at Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP), Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, at IISER Mohali.

The session focused on sustainable business models and strategic restructuring. The event brought together entrepreneurs and professionals, setting a strong foundation for the year-long program dedicated to equip Women Entrepreneurs with practical tools for business growth and innovation.

Exploring Business Opportunities in Japan

TiE Chandigarh in association with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) hosted a session exploring business opportunities in Japan. Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Assistant Director, and Mr. Hiroki Kawasaki, Senior Director at JETRO, shared their vision on trade prospects and investment possibilities between India and Japan.

The session attracted entrepreneurs and business leaders interested in cross-border partnerships, highlighting potential avenues for market expansion and collaboration.

Members Connect Program

TiE Chandigarh's Member Connect Program launched with two focused sessions at AIC, ISB Mohali this month. Both new and current members met with the leadership team to discuss growth strategies.

Members received their official TiE membership certificates during the session. The program opened channels for direct feedback and sparked conversations about strengthening ourentrepreneurial community.
